
Tibetan Doctor
Amchi Dorjee Tseten Bhutia
Studied Tibetan Medicine at the leading medical institute, Men-Tsee-Khang (Tibetan Medical College) in Dharamsala, India, from 1983 to 1988.
Completed his two years intership with Dr Tenzin Chodak, Senior Physician for His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
Worked at the Tibetan Medical Centre, department of research, doing clinical investigation as well as researching methods of producing herbal remedies.
Amchi Bhutia was awarded doctor of alternative medicine and gold medal from India Open University for Alternative Medicine, Kolkotta, India.
Worked at clinics of Tibetan Medical Centre such as Itanagar AP, Shimla HP, Siliguri WB, and as a chief resident doctor from 1990 to 2001 attending over 50 patients every day.
Since 2002 Amchi Bhutia is residing in The Netherlands and worked with NSTG Amsterdam for three years he had received around 8516 patients. In january 2006, Amchi Bhutia has established a new centre, the European Centre for Traditional Tibetan Medicine (ecttm) for consultations and education based in The Netherlands.
He is now giving consultations and courses in The Netherlands and other countries throughout Europe to raise support for the new centre.
